A new, made to order sandwich brand that had to stand out in a crowded market. To compete with established sub and sandwich chains, we knew that we had to conceive a strong identity that would appeal to a diverse target audience.
The starting point was a memorable and original name. Thinking about what we all love most about our favourite sandwich, we came up with STACKED. It clearly communicates the brand purpose, namely to provide delicious, made to order sandwiches, subs, wraps and salads generously stacked with tasty fillings.
The brand look and feel followed, with key differentiators including colour palette, logo and communication style. Our tone of voice is real-world to communicate clearly and with warmth throughout the brand journey, from franchisee presentations to in-store digital menus.
During a period of just a few months, we created a brand ready to launch. Complete with B2B sales tools, interior design and site opening packs.
The brand launched in June 2018 with a STACKED site in Broadstairs, followed by an over-the-counter format in a service station in Lincolnshire and then within a One-Stop in Glasgow. With more locations planned throughout this year. STACKED is proving to be a successful brand across multiple formats and is resonating well with franchisee partners and consumers.
What immediately struck me on meeting Allen Creative was their skill at understanding what our objectives were.
